These terms and conditions will apply to all transactions placed online with The Pencil Cage. Please read carefully before placing any order. All contracts shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and any dispute between us will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms and conditions will be deemed to affect your statutory rights.

We are pleased to accept orders by online transaction via secure server.
If the issuer of your card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery of your order. No orders will be accepted or processed without a valid card payment in the name of the registered cardholder.
We aim to deliver to you within 7 working days of the receipt of your order. In the event that we are unable to achieve this, we will email you with an expected delivery date or the option to cancel your order.
Returns and exchanges
Should you decide that you are not satisfied with your order, The Pencil Cage will accept the return of unwanted goods and will refund the full price (excluding postage charges) as long as they are returned to us within 14 days of delivery and in the original packaging and in re-saleable condition.
You are responsible for returning any unwanted goods to us. The item/s must be returned in the condition in which they were received – unworn, unused and in their original packaging. We will not refund any goods that arrive back to us in any other condition than in which they were received.
Please remember to include your name, address, telephone number and order number to ensure that your refund is dealt with as quickly as possible.
It is always in the customer’s interest to retain proof of postage as they are responsible for the goods until they are returned to the Pencil Cage address.
Products, prices and content
All prices are shown in pound sterling.
Whilst every effort is made to ensure the pictures and colours depicted on the site match as closely as possible those of the actual product due to technical limitations such as monitor display differences, some colours may vary.
Prices, product descriptions and specifications are checked to the best of our ability, and whilst every effort has been made to make them accurate, no responsibility will be accepted for errors and omissions.
Any information displayed on our web site or other printed matter by the company is not regarded to be authoritative or certified as the best practice and is only considered to be useful supplementary advice to other certified codes of practice. All information on our web site is updated regularly.
We reserve the right to alter our prices and specifications without notice.
Comments and complaints

We will aim to reply within five working days.
We will collect and store any personal data that you may volunteer whist using our services, e.g. placing an order or joining our e-mail newsletter for example.
The type of information that we will collect will include – Your title and name, known address, contact telephone numbers, e-mail address, order details. Details may be forwarded securely to other parties in order to fulfil this order only. These will include delivery and payment partners. We currently use Shopify Payments and PayPal whose privacy policies are available on their respective sites.
We will collect and store information about you to allow us to firstly, process and fulfil any order requirements and secondly to provide you with information to keep you up to date on products, services or promotions we run from time to time. You can opt out of this at any time, either by writing, emailing us or clicking unsubscribe on one of our emails.
Individuals registering their details for an online account may do so on the understanding that they are aware of the intended purpose for the collection of data. You can cancel your account at anytime. However to fulfil legal requirements where applicable we may retain your details for 7 years. i e for Tax purposes.
Your details are kept securely on a database in Mail Chimp and on back a up database with the latest anti virus protection in place. Any proof of purchases printed for Tax purposes are kept securely and filed until no longer required.
We would like you to be confident about ordering online. Your browser will confirm that you are shopping in a secure environment by showing a locked padlock icon in the left hand section of your browser.
The contents of this site and other publications from The Pencil Cage are owned or licensed to The Pencil Cage or are used with permission by the owner. Reproduction of Pencil Cage artwork is prohibited unless written permission has been given by the artist involved.
Making a Purchase
In order to make a purchase just browse our products, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on “Order” and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to fulfil the order.

The Pencil Cage accepts Paypal and any major credit and debit cards.

The original illustrations and designs are all by artist Carl Fitton.
Carl’s designs are inspired by his love of animals, nature and cooking.
All graphics, images, patterns, recipes and designs on all the Pencil Cage products are protected by copyright, design rights, trade mark rights and other intellectual property rights, which are owned by The Pencil Cage.
